As we plan our re-entry date, we will have a need for volunteers – some ministries that will be redefined and some new ministries. Please read the descriptions and consider how you can serve your church as we gather again.
We will need several volunteers in these areas to accommodate sporadic attendance that is common in summer months.
Even if you are already part of one of these ministries, please complete this survey so we know who is available to help our services go smoothly.
Each week, one or two greeters will be at the front door. Their primary responsibilities are 1) open the door and be welcoming for people entering/exiting; 2) provide directions (ie. the hand sanitizer station, the bulletin table, restrooms if a guest, etc.); 3) answer questions when necessary. Greeters will be scheduled no more than once a month. This person(s) should be in place by 10:20am.
Coffee/Tea Service – not rolled out immediately
This person will serve the coffee/tea to reduce cross-exposure at the beverage station. For weeks when 2 greeters are schedule, this can be filled by the 2nd greeter. This person should be in place by 10:20am.
Sunday Morning wipe-down
This person takes care of a final wipe down of surfaces in the common areas and bathrooms. This task should be completed by 10:15am.
This person is responsible for operating the camera in the sanctuary for the live stream. This person knows how to apply the rule of thirds and can manage the transitions in worship, sermon and other elements. This role is part of the A/V Team. This person should be in place during the Praise Team Sound Check by 9:30am. **Training will be provided.**
This person is responsible for communicating as service host on our online platform. This role can be performed at church or in their home. The host welcomes the online attenders, provides information during the service, manages any private Prayer Chat, and interacts as a lively host to our online viewers. This person should be in place by 10:20am. **Training will be provided.**
Online Stream Manager
This person manages the live stream during the service. The Stream Manager verifies the stream is operational, communicates any needed audio adjustments, records the service, manages the transitions in worship, sermon and other elements. This person should be in place during the Praise Team Sound Check at 8:45am. This position is the most technical of our volunteer needs. **Training will be provided.**
As our online ministry grows, there is a need for additional members of the audio/video team. Cross-training on the sound board, the powerpoint, camera operation, and online roles will help build a seamless ministry for both our in-church attenders and our online viewers. **Training will be provided.**
